It all started when Vanessa’s oldest daughter introduced the family to handmade natural soaps. They quickly noticed the benefits of the natural ingredients in them and loved using the soaps regularly. However, they soon realized that buying handmade natural soaps could get quite expensive. Determined to find a solution, Vanessa decided to research and began making soaps herself.
After much trial and error, she finally found the perfect balance and started sharing them to family and friends. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and Ivy, who fell in love with the soaps, encouraged Vanessa to share them with a wider audience.
Inspired by Vanessa's success, Ivy decided to pursue her long-time interest in candle making. After conducting extensive research and testing, she discovered a passion for it and developed her own unique process.
Despite initial doubts, frustrations, and all the paperwork involved in starting a small business, our perseverance paid off, and we proudly launched Ives and Bees in 2020.

Our bars of soap are handcrafted in small batches. We use essential oils and toxin-free, phthalate-free and paraben-free premium oils to scent our soaps. The main ingredients in our soaps are olive oil and coconut oil which are very moisturizing and beneficial to the skin. We use shea, cocoa and other butters rich in antioxidants that help protect the skin against sun damage.In addition, we are members of the Greener Life Club for sustainable, fair trade, cruelty-free and bio healthy products.Our soaps are hand-cut therefore there might be a slight variation in weight however they average 4oz. per bar. Each bar is stamped with care and packaged with love.

Our fragrances are phthalate-free, paraben-free, and prop-65 compliant, prioritizing your well-being and peace of mind.In our commitment to sustainability and safety, we use lead-free cotton wicks or wooden wicks for our candles. Our spiral wooden wicks are uniquely designed and crackle when lit, mimicking the comforting sound of a fireplace, adding an extra dimension of ambiance to your space.After enjoying your candle, you can repurpose the clear glass vessel into glassware and the lid as a coaster.
